Kembara - biasanya org akan kata 'kuat makan minyaklah!' 'takde power lah!' dan mcm-mcm masalah lain yg berkaitan.... pada pendapat sy x dinafikan mmg perodua kembara model hcej ni mmg kuat sikit FC dier... tapi xde la sampai rm30 utk 100km perjalanan... (pemanduan berhemat hehe) .. tu dah kira teruk sangat...
biasanya pengguna x berapa perasan yg ada masalah dengan kenderan mereka.... sebab kereta masih boleh jalan.. masih teguh diatas jalan raya... disini sy senaraikan antara masalah dan punca penyebab kenapa FC perodua kembara ni boleh jadi sangat tinggi...
- fan clutch yg dah kong/rosak. - selalunya ini jadi punca utama..
- fungsi kipas ini utk penyejukkan radiator.. kipas ini sepatutnya berpusing perlahan apabila suhu enjin belum
mencapai tahap yg sepatutnya (cukup panas) dan akan berpusing lebih laju apabila suhu enjin mencapai tahap yg sepatutnya.. tapi bila dah rosak fan clutch ni akan jem... dan menyebabkan putaran kipas jadi laju
sepanjang masa.. yg juga memberi lebih bebanan kepada enjin langsung FC kenderaan anda pun jadi x jimat.
-satu cara utk pastikan adakah kerosakan ini berlaku terhadap kenderaan anda.. start enjin pagi2.. rev up sket n dengar ada bunyi mengaum yg x patut ada pada enjin tersbut x..ada yg kata 'enjin dah lebih 10 tahun mmg mcm tu'....
-penyelesaian
a. tukar baru clutch fan anda. kos lebih kurang rm160 (+-)
b. tukar kepada electrical fan system - dalam masa yg sama hilangkan semua beban pada enjin anda..
(5-10% save @ fuel) kos dalam lingkungan rm400 (+-)
faktor-faktor lain..
-enjin yg dah lusuh (dah terlalu lama berkhidmad) perlu overhaul - tapi saya cadangkan tukar ke enjin 1.5/1.6.. ini lebih baik dari segi FC yg sangat save.. trust me..kos dalam lingkungan 3k
-full-time 4wd.. pacuan empat road sepenuh masa - yang tidak sepatutnya digunakan utk pemanduan bandar/town drive... boleh diubahsuai ke pacuan 2 roda belakang..(save 10% @ fuel) kos dalam lingkungan rm180. perodua kembara 2wd conversion.
-auto/manual gearbox yg dah slip..

intro
The Daihatsu Terios is a mini SUV, first released in 1997 by the Japanese car manufacturer Daihatsu. The engines are a modifiedDaihatsu Charade 1.3 litre or kei car 660 cc unit, with constant four wheel drive (4WD) or two wheel drive (2WD), respectively. It has 5-speed manual transmission or 4-speed automatic transmission. The width of the first generation Terios is less than 1500 mm, to fulfil the kei car regulations. Also to meet these regulations, the kei car Terios is shorter, losing the rearmost side window. The second generation of Terios was co-developed by Daihatsu and fellow Japanese manufacturer Toyota.
The first generation was available as 4-door estate, and the smaller kei car model called the Terios Kid, which was only released in Japan (see Japanese-language article Terios Kid).
In 2000, Daihatsu gave the Terios a mild facelift both in the exterior and interior of the vehicle. A new chrome grille replaced the black plastic grille. The high-grade model gained electric front windows, central locking, rear seat head restraints, alloy wheels, roof rails and a roof-mounted rear spoiler. Mechanically, the 1.3 litre SOHC four-cylinder engine fitted to the previous model had been replaced by the new 1.3 litre DOHC four-cylinder engine. Power was also increased by 3 kW (4 hp). A sport version of the K3-VET engine was produced on Japan.
In Australia, a limited edition sports series was introduced in 2001 with only 200 units being available. The vehicle had body colour matching bumpers, different from the two-tone bumper colour on the standard model. Rear spoiler and sunroof became standard. The interior was updated with metallic paint finish on the centre console and dashboard.
